Originally the Markland Post Office, build circa 1900, it has been transformed into a comfortable vacation cottage. Located on Cape Forchu, Yarmouth County in South Western Nova Scotia it is nestled on the eastern side of the Western Cape overlooking Inner False Harbour with its extreme tides, Beacon Light (the Bug Light), the Town of Yarmouth, John Cove fisheries and its lobster boats, the Eastern Cape and the Atlantic Ocean.

The cottage, which sleeps four and comes with all the amenities to make your stay comfortable, is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries as well as explore South Western Nova Scotia and it’s rich culture and scenery. The Town of Yarmouth is just a 15 minute drive away, while the historic Loyalist Town of Shelburne is just over an hour drive away as well as Digby and the Saint John ferry. Take the Evangeline Trail or visit Pubnico to experience the rich Acadian culture and history that defines the area. Some of the finest beeches in Nova Scotia are also within a short drive!

The cape is an artists and birders paradise and a place to unwind and enjoy wild flowers galore. Cottages where multi generations have come each year to enjoy their vacations dot the nooks and crannies
